Dr. Amanda Main

Faculty Advisor

Dr. Amanda Main is the faculty advisor for UCF’s Women in Business. As an organizational psychologist, her research has focused on the mistreatment of women in the workplace.

In her dissertation, she proposed a new construct called: Not Woman Enough Harassment, or mistreatment that occurs when women don’t fit stereotypical gender norms. She has recently begun exploring methods to assist women with assertiveness, negotiation, and conflict resolution by leveraging their inherent strengths as opposed to focusing on perceived weakness.

She is the associate chair of the department of management, as well as a lecturer who primarily focuses on negotiation and leadership.

In her free time, she enjoys running, rollerblading, going to the beach, exploring music therapy, barre class, and meeting interesting people.
